Location
Spain’s Southern Getaway. Torre de la Horadada and the coastline stretching south are often referred to as “Spain’s southern coast” by locals. Originally a residential area, the town has grown significantly in recent years. Once a hidden gem favored mainly by Spaniards, Torre is now catching the eye of international property buyers – drawn to the iconic tower by the sea.
Here, you live close to the Mediterranean and can choose from various types of housing: everything from small, low-maintenance apartments (some with rooftop terraces) and well-designed townhouses to spacious villas with plenty of room to enjoy. Property prices here tend to be slightly higher than in nearby areas like San Pedro del Pinatar. Development in Torre has increased recently, making it a very popular area – especially among Northern Europeans.
The people of Torre de la Horadada – or just “Torre,” as the locals call it, often meet up at local bars with friends to watch football matches, or simply enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Just a few minutes’ drive south brings you to a favorite summer destination – the long sandy beaches of Las Higuericas.
From Torre, access to the highway is quick and easy, putting everything within close reach – including the large La Zenia Boulevard shopping center, just 10 minutes away by car. The same driving time takes you south to Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar, and the Mar Menor lagoon.
